Hello guys i don't know if many will see this

I have many questions regarding the program UTAU.

if you're experienced in utau or even if you aren't and you'd wish to know more just like me.

dont be scared to comment your own questions,they might just be answered sufficiently.

anywho do you guys have any tips

so what i really would like to know is how do i make my own music such as instrumental wise. would i need an actual Instrument? or are there programs that mimic the noise of one??

I've seen tutorials on how to make a midi on premade songs,but i haven't yet found anything on how to actually make your own music. ;;

and further more questions.

i would like to know if there are any good free movie maker programs,or even cracked ones is fine.

i just want to make my utau official and decent.

i only have the basic ones. sadly cause most of the plugins I've downloaded either crashed my program or didn't work even if i put them in their correct places.

but i have a feeling it has more to do with the way i /attempt/ to tune or just the way i've recorded it?

but i'm not really sure.

i want more of a smooth UTAU. and not one that sounds like it's voice is cracking?? i don't know how to explain it aaa.

i have many failed attempt utaus I've lost count.

but i really feel that my Skylar UTAU is a good idea,because people helped me put her together and im really grateful for everyone's help and i wanna keep trying to make her a great UTAU.

and i was also wondering if that could've been the way i recorded it?

most people in utau or vocaloid seem to have like teams n stuff and i want something like that,but i feel people would think i were using them and they wouldn't accept my request because there are pretty manipulative people n stuff.

and i dont really have a lot of money to afford commissions n stuff even if it were just five dollars,because i don't wanna use my parents money because they need that way more than i do.
(just saying i am 14 before you think i'm a grown adult in my parents basement hdashfksd)

so i'm not sure what,i just really don't wanna have someone snap at me because i asked.

i dunno i'm a very sensitive child.

A to Q1: It's very hard to find a free program that is also good in quality for example you have FL Studio and Piapro Studio being expensive options but if you know music notation then musescore is a good alternative though it can't create EDM it's only good for classical. There are other notation software out there too but you'd have to search.

A to Q2: Again to make a use you can use notation software or use FL Studio or even make it in utau though that will be very difficult. As for the movie makers, if you want to say overlay a picture over a PV then AVIUTL is the one for you, and it's free too! It's a very powerful software that you can make fully fledged pvs with. It is however a bit hard to grasp so if you need help don't hesisitate to ask me!

A to Q3: In the past I have used a blue snowball to record, it is a decent quality mic for a decent price though I will be moving on to this mic www.rode.com/microphones/nt-usb but with buying a mic you have to be careful to note if it's stereo or mono as utau only takes mono, but if you end up buying a studio mic (like the one I linked) there is an option in audacity to convert to mono ouo

A to Q4: I personally do not know how to tune, I would suggest looking at someone elses ust and trying to replicate their tuning, some people can't fully grasp tuning but thats alright, asking around you may have someone to help you

A to Q5: Any and all utau plugins are the best, it just depends on what you want. Useful plugins are CV-VCV (though Auto-CVVC can convert between all types as well as a plugin called iroiro which has multiple options to convert to hiragana to romaji and the same in reverse. As for how to install them this tutorial is very helpful fav.me/d4gsidr

A to Q6: My default flags are Y100C50L99 (unsure how they all work but they work well for me)

A to Q7: I don't know how to answer this because I'm having trouble understanding what you mean if you post a audio sample I can help tell you what might be wrong

A to Q8: Most likely it has to do with your mic or unless you're using a resampler like moresampler/tn_fnds

There are a lot of programs out there that imitates the sound of real instruments and the music now you hear in movies/series/animes/games are all made under music programs, they don't ask thousands of musicians ahah
Of course a real instrument is always better but yeah some aren't affordable and learning how to use them isn't that easy.
I only know FL Studio since that's the easiest one to use. But you can search for others on the Internet!
And of course I'm pretty sure you know that you have to learn some music first ^ v ^)/

UTAU is only a singing program, not a "music creating program". So trying to create music on it is impossible, aha/

The best one is Adobe After Affects. Can only be cracked because I doubt you can afford it, at 14 years old!

I use my computer's microphone too but since I'm a Mac user it sounds good. (sample of my own UTAU kire vb here!)
But when I'll be able too I'll buy a Blue Yeti one. It's excellent!

I've seen plenty of tutorials and i tried it out myself but i just cannot grip onto the concept.

So! I tune every single one of my covers myself (you can listen to some of them here lol I'm promoting myself sorry) so I hope I can help you on this!
I observed other's USTs first and remembered what tuning style was doing what.
But my very own technique, since I'm also a singer, is that I sing myself the part I want to tune (or even sing it in my head), and try to re-produce it in UTAU.
If you can't sing, listen to some Youtaite/Utaites's utattemitas on YouTube, and try to reproduce their singing in Utau. It can help a lot!!
I spent two years learning tuning by myself, and now I'm very satisfied!!

I'm a UTAU-Synth (MAC utau) user, and I don't have the cool plugins, I can't help you on that, sorry ;;

The "cracking voice" might come VERY PROBABLY from the mic quality and how you recorded it. I'd still like to listen to it to understand what you mean??

If it's only noise, look more closely to the otos that don't work! It can only be from the otos, since they're the ones generating the singing!
