I would like to discuss the pros and cons of both options.
For example: They might cover many languages, but not sound so native?
What do you think? As the type of "reclister" I am, this is very important.
You'd make me a favour if you could discuss the issue.
PS: You don't need to think of ÑAL.
Do you prefer Luka JAP and ENG separately
or you're more of something like MAIKA?

Idk about the others, but personally I think that multilingual voicebanks are more fun to use/make ! ;q;
I mean sure they might sound not native at all, but well, I dont really care about that ^^

Some people want something super native, some don't. The fact is that we have thousands of Japanese VBs that are not native but they sound good enough to be used as well. It's true that people appreciate native ones, but I don't think they are the majority. That's a tricky issue.
Another problem could be that multilingual voicebanks might be difficult in terms of alias. Every VB has a different system, some attach a "2" as suffix, some use X-SAMPA, some use native graphs of the language and it might be a mess. Would people try to learn how they work just to use the VB? |

In fact, I often decided to not use certain UTAUloids because of their custom alias so yeah I guess thats one contra point to this whole multilingual voicebank stuff.
On the other hand though, it might also be nice to try new things out, you know? for example, when cz's first english reclist came out , I was so excited to use it and edit some USTs so I could make CZloid sing it - I still remember how much fun it was!

I really like it when certain UTAU have the flexibility of singing more than one language, but I like each bank to be separate per language. I've seen some banks combine multi- languages into one bank/list and it got confusing for me.
